The Chronicles of Narnia read-aloud

Posted on July 22, 2012 by Kathy Hutto

We just finished reading the Chronicles of Narnia – all seven of them – as a read-aloud each evening.  We started with Book 1 and it took us a looong time, but we just finished them all!

I highly recommend reading this set of books out loud to your children.  The last one is so touching.  Without being a spoiler, let me just say that the very end paints a picture of what Heaven may be like.  It makes kids think of it as not scary, but instead beautiful beyond imagination!

Even if you can’t read each night, just read when you can.  Sunday afternoon is the perfect time to read together.  We sometimes go outside and put a quilt on the trampoline and read, that is when it’s not as hot as it is out there right now!

Have fun reading together!
