This post will be brief. I felt like I needed to post it.
It seems that Christians are divided about what to do this election. Top evangelicals, that I have long admired, are offering opposite advice about what to do. It leaves you wondering, who is hearing from God correctly? I mean someone is right and someone is wrong here.
What are we to do?
Pray.
Ask God directly what He would have you do/who He would have you vote for. Don’t base your decision on anyone else’s opinion. Get “In His Presence” and ask for wisdom for yourself.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” James 1:5
Nehemiah has been on my mind recently. Take some time to read through the first part of it, if you can. Let’s humble ourselves like he and the Israelites, and join together in repentance for our sins, our father’s, and our country’s.
Repent for our country in these and other areas the Holy Spirit brings to your mind: abortion, disregard for the sanctity of life, Supreme Court redefinition of marriage, breaking marriage covenants, homosexuality…
Pray that God would see a remnant here who want to stand for the truth of Scripture and return to a nation “under God.”
We need wisdom during this election. Let’s pray and ask for it. Then, let’s be obedient.
