LOTD – Z is for Zebra

Letter Recognition: Decorate letter Z with zebra stripes

Phonics: Z says /z/ as in the sound a bee makes (Pretend bees are flying around. Catch one and sing the song, “I’m Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee.” I demonstrated this on my Youtube Channel – link at end.

Math: Temperature (Hot/Cold only) – Watch this demonstrated on my Youtube Channel – link at end.

Color: Black

Shape: Heart (Show how to cut out a heart and turn it into a zebra.)

Art: Paperbag zebra (Paint a brown back white first or provide a white bag) Use a Q-tip to paint on the stripes. Glue a black oval with two nose holes drawn on with white crayon. Glue on two paper eyes and ears.)

Science: Buoyancy lesson using Cookies and Milk. Be sure to include an Orea (black and white like a zebra) among the cookies. See this demonstrated on my Youtube Channel – link below.)
