LOTD – U is for Underground

Letter Recognition: Decorate letter U by coloring it brown and adding bug stickers.

Phonics: Vowel People-Letter U (Get these under Products)

Math: Missing Number

Find the Missing Number Level 1 Numbers 1-10

Color: Brown (color the letter U brown – above)

Shape: Rectangular Prism (show a shoebox and use it for Art)

Art: Diorama of underground animals

Science: Sediment Jar – Scoop dirt from outside with a homemade “underground scoop” made from a milk jug as shown in the picture. Fill jar 1/2 full with dirt and the rest with water. Shake and allow to settle into layers. Explain the heavier sediments will fall to the bottom and the lighter ones such as decaying matter (leaves, grass, dead bugs… will float to the top)
