Posted on August 11, 2022July 23, 2023 by kathyahutto

I teach several classes through Outschool. If you’re looking for a COMPLETE Pre-K curriculum for your child/ren, then please check out the link below or QR code above!

Description:

This class is taught by a degreed teacher with over 20 years of experience. We cover one letter and theme each day, so you can JUMP IN ANY TIME! We'd love to have you join!

*This is the exact Circle Time that I used in-person for public and private schools teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten.

DESCRIPTION:
In this class, your child will get a Circle Time experience including Calendar Time & Weather. In addition, we cover a complete Preschool/Pre-K curriculum with lots of the concepts pulled from Kindergarten standards, so this class is appropriate for K5 students as well.

You will receive a Weekly Lesson plan every Sunday. It will tell you everything we are learning throughout the week, so you can follow along or reinforce the lesson, if you'd like. No supplies are needed, but there will be a supply list in case you'd like to make the Art project or do the Science experiment again at home.

This is an Ongoing class, so feel free to jump in any time! Each day is independent of the others. We will cover one letter/theme per day for 26 weeks and then begin again with new themes and concepts. By the end of the school year, your child should know all their letters/sounds, numbers, shapes, colors, and be able to read CVC words and some special sounds.

Here is the schedule:
Greeting Time
Calendar Time (Month/Count the day/Day of the week)
Weather
Letter of the Day and Theme Introduction (letter recognition, phonics sound, how to write the upper/lower case letters)
Decorate the Letter of the Day (idea for you to do at home later)
Language Skills Activity (sound the letter makes and blending)
Math Skill
Music & Movement
Art
Science or Social Studies activity
Story Time
