In the Presence of My Enemies

Psalm 23.  We have read it and recited it hundreds of times.

Recently, as I read it again, something new stood out.

Psalm 23:5-6, says, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

Jesus didn’t say He’d sit you down at another table.  He said he’d prepare your place setting right along side your enemies!

You will not be ashamed. Isaiah 54:4  You have a place at the table.

Your enemies may laugh and mock, but hold your head high.  Take your seat.

We live in a fallen world and there will be enemies, but always keep in mind that Christ has overcome the world.

John 16:33, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
