Every afternoon, I will post something for you to share with your family in the evening. It may be a talking point, a short video, a Scripture to read, etc. It will never take more than 20 minutes for you to do. Twenty minutes will allow your tots to hang in there and and your teens to stick around. Be sure to subscribe to get the daily post delivered to your Inbox.
Today’s Post… (Do you love Me?)
For your younger kids – Cut out hearts from construction paper and hide around the house. Let them search for all the hearts before you begin today’s devo. They can decorate the hearts and write GOD on each heart while you watch the video. Afterwards, thread yarn through the hearts to make a Valentine bunting to hang up.
Talking Points…
- (before the video) Interview Mom and Dad – What questions will you ask to find out if they love each other? (Examples, Do you spend time together? Do you think about him/her? How often do you do something for him/her? Do you talk about him/her?)
Watch this video of Francis Chan speaking at a youth event. It’s 40 minutes, so just watch the first part – STOP at minute 21:35.
IMPORTANT NOTE – Francis gave this talk to high school aged youth. The first part (up to 21:35) is okay for younger kids, but I would not have them watch the last half. Francis is talking about sins and mentions sleeping with someone and homosexuality. Instead, parents watch the second part ahead and do the demonstration he shows for your kids.
