Every afternoon, I will post something for you to share with your family in the evening. It may be a talking point, a short video, a Scripture to read, etc.
Today’s post… (Kindness)
Here’s a coloring page for your little ones to work on while you talk.

Read Ephesians 4:32
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Memorize this verse this week, as a family. Have everyone point out times when family members are caught implementing it this week.
Talking points…
- Discuss what kindness is.
- Discuss what being tenderhearted means. (see note at end)
- Think about some wrong things we do to Christ. (Examples, disregard Him, sometimes for a whole day by not even talking to Him…disrespect His name, using it like a slang term…etc.) Yet, He still forgives us and loves us.
- Does knowing Jesus forgives you help you want to be more forgiving when others wrong you?
Read Matthew 6:12 (from the Lord’s Prayer) in the Amplified Bible version below.
“And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors [letting go of both the wrong and the resentment].”
- Discuss what true forgiveness looks like.
Take a moment to really let Christ’s forgiveness sink in. Thank Him for forgiving you and for His example of what true forgiveness is.
(Tenderhearted – Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines tender-hearted as “Very susceptible of the softer passions of love, pity or kindness.” Sometimes when we’ve been wronged and our feelings have been hurt, we harden our hearts as a coping mechanism. After all, we want to avoid more pain. We put up boundaries. But, Ephesians 4:32 teaches us that we are to have hearts that are softened and ready to forgive. That’s not easy. In fact, it can be scary to be so vulnerable. Remember, you can trust your heart to God. Rest assured, its in good hands.)
