During this quarantine, we’ve had to get a little creative to keep ourselves entertained. You may have already read about our Mystery Dinner to accompany the movie/game Clue.
We also did a fun evening centered around the movie, Good Burger. You can buy* or rent Good Burger from Amazon or you can pay almost the same amount as renting and find it in the bargain bin at Walmart (like we did a while back).
In advance, I added the following menu items to my online cart. I’ve been doing online shopping and pickup at Walmart. It’s free, safe and convenient.
Menu Items
Hamburger Meat (we are trying to choose organic or natural, so we chose Marketside Butcher Organic Grass Fed Ground Beef for my son and Dr. Praeger’s All American Veggie Burgers for my daughter and me.)
Hamburger Fixings (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, pickles and onions)
“Secret Sauce” ingredients – see below
Fries
Milkshake ingredients (vanilla ice cream, syrup of your choice but the movie specifically shows strawberry)
Creating the Good Burger Restaurant
My daughter used our sign boards to post the menu. We set up a Good Burger counter using our kitchen island.
Once we had our “orders” we sat in the living room and watched the movie while we ate. At one point, we took a break to “order” milkshakes for desert.
I found a version of Ed’s Secret Sauce recipe online. Here’s the link.
