Capturing Your Thoughts

Posted on October 11, 2011 by kathyahutto

Read Philippians 4:8, and discuss the things that we should think about.

Now read 2 Cor. 10:5.  Each time we think about things that aren’t true, noble, right, pure, lovely, or admirable, “make captive” those thoughts and instead think about something that is true or admirable.  For example, when we feel compelled to complain about schoolwork…instead find one good thought about schoolwork…such as doing schoolwork helps me to gain knowledge so that one day I can go to college.

When I think of the word “capture,” I think of the game of chess.  We made bracelets using a chess piece and a Silly Band that we have worn all day to remind us to “capture” our thoughts!
