Dear Moms,
I am so passionate about the resource I’m sharing with you today. I wanted my children to start 2017 with Devotional Journals and so the search began.
I found a good one for boys, which was also recommended to me by our youth pastor.

But, I just couldn’t find what I was looking for in a preteen/young teen girl’s devotional book. I had some pretty specific things that I wanted to see included and some things I wanted to avoid. First, I wanted it to include Scripture! I did not want a devotional style book with short stories. I wanted my daughter to be challenged to think about what she was reading and how to apply it to her life.
After having written a number of Bible Studies for Preteens, this project seemed to be a good progression of that series. I was able to tailor-make this journal to include the things I had in mind for a study.
The Growing Character Devotional Journal will be tool for preteen/teen girls to use that will have them in the Word and studying Godly character traits that could shape their developing personalities. I’m so passionate about this resource and I pray that God will “multiply the seed sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.” (2 Cor. 9:10)
Please join me in praying that God would use this resource to bring liberality and set up a love for God and His Word by all the young girls who use it. Pray that God would be glorified; that it would cause thanksgiving to Him; and that His name be praised as a result.

Product Description:
Growing Character Devotional Journal for Girls is a GROWING BUNDLE. That means that I will continue to add to it. You purchase it once and will be notified when new content is added. You will be able to download the the new additions, at no additional cost.
As more content is added, the price will increase. So you will want to purchase this bundle as early as possible.
WHY A GROWING BUNDLE?
I’ve decided to offer this product as a Growing Bundle for a couple of reasons.
Reason #1 – This is an extensive project and I want to take my time. I am creating this product for my own daughter and with yours in mind, so I’m meticulously pouring over it. I don’t want to rush to publish it all at once at the risk of sacrificing quality.
Reason #2 – This journal will be a devotional that your child can use for the entire year and I’d like for our girls to be able to begin in January, which is soon approaching.
You will need to purchase a Notebook for your daughter. Print the cover sheet (included) and slip it into the clear sleeve on the front of the notebook. Print Week 1 (included) and add it to the notebook. You’re all set to begin the first week of January. I will upload the preceding weeks as I have them ready. You will receive a notification via email from Currclick. You can print and add new content to your daughter’s notebook as it becomes available.
WHY A DEVOTIONAL JOURNAL?
I wanted a daily devotional book for my children, and so the search began. I was able to find a good one for teen boys, and you can read about that recommendation on my blog.
I was able to tailor make this journal to include the things I had in mind for a study.
WHY A CHARACTER STUDY?
The preteen/young teen age can be challenging. Girls this age are exploring who they are and developing their individuality and personality. It’s the perfect time to work on identity and character building.
In addition to studying a character trait, your child will be studying a character in the Bible who exemplified that trait.
HOW IS EACH DEVOTIONAL SET UP?
There is a Weekly Sheet with the Character Word and definition that will be the focus of the week. There is a place to write the weekly Memory Verse. This sheet also includes a place for writing down prayer needs for family and friends as well as praises. Following this sheet are 5 daily sheets – for Monday through Friday. Each daily sheet includes 4 sections: Plant it (Introduction), Water it (Bible Study), Watch it Grow (Application), and Memory Verse practice.
Character Traits that you will see in upcoming weeks include…
Worthiness – Mary Magdalene
Loyalty – Ruth
Courage – Esther
Perseverance – Hannah
Generosity – Mary (Lazarus’ sister)
Kindness – Rebekah
Humility – Mary (Jesus’ mother)
Self-Control
Hospitality
There will be 47 character traits studied this year – one for each week of the year, excluding spring break, fall break, Thanksgiving week and Christmas break.
