(Day 2 of a three part series on Waiting)
Revelation 12:12 says, “Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”
The enemy is going to give us a fit. God told us he would. And it’s because, praise God, he knows his time is short. Expect it. But, don’t stand for it.
Look back one verse and take a look at Revelation 12:11 which says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”
Did you get that? They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb (victory has already been secured because of the cross) and the word of their testimony.
I grew up in a small town, southern Baptist church where it was not uncommon for someone to stand up and give a testimony to what God had done for them that week.
When is the last time you did that? I’m not talking about standing in front of a congregation, but in front of a friend, your computer screen, wherever to whomever and shared what God has done for you.
We can overcome him by the word of our testimony, so let’s do that.
I want to share with you tomorrow a testimony of a time of waiting in my life and something that I’ve been able to see the other side of now. I pray it will be encouragement to you and I pray that it will help me to overcome the enemy, who loves to bring wrath (vs.12), but whose time is short!
