This week, we are working on the memory verse Psalm 56:3, which states, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” (ESV)
What a great verse for everyone to memorize and remember to do – no matter how old or young you are! If you haven’t yet tuned in, I do a daily Circle Time/Calendar Time for Preschool/Pre-K kids every day. Every week, we work on a new Memory Verse and this week’s verse is Psalm 56:3, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.”
Here is a free poster for your refrigerator. Please help your child learn this verse this week.
Let’s help our little ones hide God’s Word in their heart from the start!

Click here to get a copy of suggested meals for every day of the week, including Meat Monday, Taco Tuesday, Eat Out Wednesday (pick up on the way home from church), Breakfast for Dinner Thursday, Pizza & Movie Friday, Soup Saturday, Sandwich Sunday. This meal plan will take meal planning off your plate. You can just focus on what you want to choose for each, such as burgers or meatloaf for Meat Monday…or Bacon/Sausages, Muffins/Pancakes/Waffles, Grits/Cream of Wheats for Breakfast for Dinner Thursdays…or Chili/Vegetable soup/Beef Stew for Soup Saturday, etc. Sometimes on Sandwich Sundays, we take our sandwiches and other fixings to the lake for a picnic.
The main idea is to be intentional, not only in your homeschool, but in your every day happenings. Look for ways to connect and do things they will remember such as memorizing Bible verses, eating together and having fun at the lake or park.
Believe me, the time goes by fast! My kids are finished with their homeschooling journey, but I would love to help you along with yours! It is my passion to teach. I enjoy making and posting the daily videos for you, and I hope they bless your homeschool and family.
If you would like to tune in to today’s Circle Time/Calendar Time video, you can watch it here:
I upload daily videos, which include a LOTD (letter of the day) and a related theme. There are activities for every subject area that all tie in to that theme.
For example, for V is for Volcano. We will decorate blank letter V by turning the letter V by coloring it brown and then turning it upside down and coloring red lava spewing from the point like a volcano. In phonics, we will pretend to play the violin to practice the letter v sound. Sue, our puppet, will even do a violin solo for us on my Youtube channel! For Math, we will be working on time concepts to include before/after. For Music, we will sing and dance to the fun and engaging Explode, Volcano song that can be found here. For Art, we will make a paper volcano. In Science, we will learn what a volcano is – “A volcano is a mountain that opens downward to a pool of molten rock below the surface of the earth. When pressure builds up, eruptions occur.” We will learn about the 3 types of volcanos: shield, cinder cone, and composite. We will make a volcano using baking soda and vinegar. Be sure to watch how that works on my Youtube channel. For story time, we will read, Vladimir the Volcano by Rana Boulos. You can get that story here.
We cover Phonics, Language/Early Reading, Math, Music & Movement, Art, Science/Social Studies, and Story Time. I hope you will join me each day there on my channel. I have over almost 700 videos posted there! You can find SO MANY letter related lessons!
Please be sure to Subscribe so you will be notified each day when I upload.

I love using fun pointers to get kids engaged in Calendar Time. Every day, I allow my online students to help me pick a pointer. They often pick “the hand,” which is a hand shaped pointer that can be found here.
One of my favorite classroom things is my farmhouse calendar set. I think it looks old fashioned and reminds me of Little House on the Prairie. You can get the chicken wire month banners like mine here. The calendar can be found here from Teacher Created Resources. Here is one that is very similar in style and has the month banners included.
If you want to get a copy of my FREE weekly lesson plans that go along with the weekly LOTD (letter of the day) videos, you can find the one for this week here. In fact, you can search for all the weeks for the entire school year! Just search for Week 1, 2, etc. This week, we are on Week 35! Our school year ends on May 20 and then we will take a week off and begin Summer Camp! Be sure to Subscribe to my channel so your child won’t miss a thing!
