Bible Studies for preteens are a great first indepth Bible Study for this age-group. They take the readers through a portion of the Bible, leaving them with a feeling of success and training them how to study their own Bibles. The reading passages are divided into manageable and content appropriate chunks. Each Bible study includes word checks with definitions to aid in understanding and relevant and thoughtful questions throughout. Short answer versus long writing assignments makes this study fun and not overwhelming.
In addition, there is a keepsake box option. All you need is an empty cereal box! You print and tape the cover of the booklet to the box. Below is a list of suggested items that you add to the box each day. The item relates to what your child learned that day.
Suggested items for your character study box:
Day 1 –stick (sacrificing involved burning an offering)
Day 2 –play money (Job was rich. God had blessed him.)
Day 3 –torn piece of cloth (Job tore his robe when he heard the bad news the messengers told him.)
Day 4–band-aid (Job got sores on his body from head to foot.)
Day 5 –play dough worm (Job’s sores were so bad, there were worms in them! Yuck!)
Day 6 – draw or print a picture of your friend (Job’s three friends came to visit him.)
Day 7-cut a paper circle into a spiral-much like you do when making a paper plate snake (God spoke to Job from a whirlwind.)
