Growing Character Bible Studies for Kids
Description
You will need to purchase a Notebook for your child. Print the cover sheet (included) and slip it into the clear sleeve on the front of the notebook. Print each week’s materials and add to the Notebook, one week at a time.
When designing this Bible Study Journal, I had some pretty specific things that I wanted to see included and some things I wanted to avoid. First, I wanted it to include Scripture! I did not want a devotional style book with short stories. I wanted my daughter to be challenged to think about what she was reading and how to apply it to her life.
After having written a number of Bible Studies for Preteens, this project seemed to be a good progression of that series. I was able to tailor make this journal to include the things I had in mind for a study.
EACH BIBLE STUDY INCLUDES A CHARACTER WORD TIE IN?
Let’s face it, childhood can be challenging. Girl and boys, especially in the preteen age group, are exploring who they are and developing their individuality and personality. It’s the perfect time to work on identity and character building.
HOW IS EACH DEVOTIONAL SET UP?
There is a Weekly Sheet with the Character Word and definition that will be the focus of the week. There is a place to write the weekly Memory Verse. This sheet also includes a place for writing down prayer needs for family and friends as well as praises. Following this sheet are 5 daily sheets – for Monday through Friday. Each daily sheet includes 4 sections: Plant it (Introduction), Water it (Bible Study), Watch it Grow (Application), and Memory Verse practice.
