Last weekend, my son graduated from High School. For many years, I have dreaded that moment. I felt sure I’d be a mess. But, I felt nothing but excitement and joy.
I knew this was due to a lot of prayers from family and friends. I felt “carried” through all of Saturday’s ceremony and activities.
I also knew that this was due to knowing that my son is ready. He’s a fine, godly young man. He loves the Lord and has a spiritual depth that would rival any adult I know! This is all because of God’s amazing grace. He’s grown up in a single parent home these last seven years. Also by God’s grace, I’ve been able to continue to homeschool him. God always provided and that provision, often in incredible ways, has made that possible. I know that God will use these circumstances for good in his life. I’m excited to see what doors the Lord opens for him in the future.
He’s truly an arrow ready to shoot out into the world with the light of Jesus.
“Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth.” Psalm 127:4, ESV.
Speaking of raising arrows, I wanted to point you to an online friend of mine’s website so named: https://www.raisingarrows.net
